We’re happy to welcome Rim Watson as our new Special Education Coordinator! Rim has filled many roles during his 37-year career in education. He began his career in Kentucky as a Physical Education and Special Education teacher. From there, he moved into administration where he held positions as an assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent. He moved to Colorado 10 years ago and most recently retired from his role as Superintendent of South Routt School District. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical and Special Education and a Master’s Degree as a Director of Special Education, Principal and Superintendent.
Rim says that he’s wanted to work with our most challenged and challenging students throughout his entire career. He’s always enjoyed working with teachers on perfecting pedagogy and the simple intrigue of perfection our practices toward learning. He appreciates this opportunity to fulfill this role with NW BOCES by providing immediate and valuable support to our Special Education teachers and providers.
