School to Work Alliance Program

School to Work Alliance Program (SWAP) is a collaborative initiative between the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and Northwest Colorado BOCES. SWAP provides case management and direct services to youth aged 15 – 24 who have mild to moderate needs in employment and are eligible to receive DVR services.
While in high school, SWAP services may include:
- Career awareness, exploration and preparation
- Work readiness training
- Self-advocacy training
- Guidance and counseling around career training and education
- Work experience
After exiting high school, SWAP services may include:
- Job-seeking skills training
- Job-search activities
- Job placement
- Job coaching
- Job retention skills
- Vocational Guidance
- One year of follow-up after job placement
