Video Footage from May 11-12, 2016 NW BOCES' Fifth Annual Colorado Model United Nations Forum (CO-MUN) 

General Assembly Day 2:

CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC--  The clip is from the author's speech. This resolution was initially tabled after a 14 to 14 tie vote but when re-visited passed the general assembly with a vote of 18 to 10. CAR's resolution was titled "Sexual Violence and Peacekeepers." The team representing CAR is from Steamboat Springs Middle School. (0:54)

LESOTHO-- Clip of reading the resolution. (0:54) Clip of debate after author's speech with a point of order called. (0:54) This resolution passed the general assembly with a vote of 16 to 12. Lesotho's resolution was titled "Education of Deadly Diseases." The team representing Lesotho is from Preston Middle School.

The following two clips are both from the General Assembly on Day 2:

BRAZIL-- An example of a resolution that passed the general assembly with a vote of 12 to 10.  Brazil's resolution was titled "Reducing Deforestation."  The team representing Brazil is from Eagle Valley Middle School. (10:19)

EGYPT-- An example of a resolution that did not pass the general assembly with a vote of 7 to 15.  Egypt's resolution was titled "Establishing Women's Right to Education in Egypt."  The team representing Egypt is from Hayden Middle School. (9:22)
